I haven’t posted in awhile but I have still been training. I started Week 2 this week. It wasn’t actually so bad!
I went out for Week Two: Day One on Wednesday and then did Day Two today. I made it through all but the last run–only made it through about half of that one. And I took a break and sat down on the bench for a couple minutes before the second to last run! The pollen seems to have settled down so my allergies are not bothering me as bad now. (I don’t have to stop and blow my nose anymore!).
So all in all, it IS getting easier. It still seems like a long time before I’ll be able to run 30 minutes continuously. But I’m just taking it day by day and week by week!
As far as my weight loss, well . . . I weighed in Wednesday and was exactly–I mean to the ounce–that I was last week. But I weighed in again today and was down another 8/10 of a pound! So my grand total so far is 11.4 pounds. I can wear a size smaller now (I tried on some clothes today at Fashion Bug!) although I can’t bring myself to invest in any new clothes because by the end of the summer they will be too big too! I’ll just keep hiking up my pants until they completely fall off of me! Annagrace told me yesterday, “Mom, haven’t you ever heard of a belt?”
And here is my play list for Week Two. I have to say first that I gave Aaron the job of putting this together. He chose a few of the songs (and our friend Reber picked one too!) and they are quite interesting!
The Baptism of Jesse Taylor–The Gaithers (totally Aaron’s pick there!)
Suddenly I See–KT Tunstall
Summertime–New Kids on the Block
Mother Mother–Tracy Bonham
Click Click Click–New Kids on the Block
Don’t Stop Believing–Journey (thanks Reber! That is a great running song!)
Bodies–Drowning Pool (totally MY pick and the best running song ever!)
Curtis Lowe–Lynyrd Skynyrd
Coming Home–Lynyrd Skynyrd
And a couple more that I have been walking to this week:
The Time of My Life–David Cook (yeah, a little cheesy, but hey–it’s DAVID COOK!)
Love Remains the Same–Gavin Rossdale (lovin’ this song!)
Till next time . . . adios amigos y amigas!
