Today was a good day ‘training’. It actually felt like it was a little easier today. After a few of the runs I felt like I could go a little longer. And on the last one, I ran as fast as I could for the last 30 seconds or so. And then I walked an additional 5 minutes for my cool down. I was feeling pretty good!
I felt so good after I got home that I took Madalyn on a long bike ride. We went to the local hardware store to get a padlock for my bike. I guesstimate that we rode about 3 miles or so today.
So I think it’s time to move on to week 2 of my Couch to 5K training. Week 2 will consist of jogging 90 seconds and then walking 2 minutes, repeated for a total of 20 minutes.
And on the weigh loss topic–since today is Weigh In Wednesday!–I lost another 0.8 pounds for a total of 10.8. Hey, it’s not a whole pound but it’s not a gain either so I’ll take it!

That is wonderful! It’s amazing how working out actually gives you more energy in the long run (no pun intended). Now that I am starting to feel better, I have started working out again and I feel so much better. Keep of the awesome work!!!!!

Comment by Heather May 24, 2008 @ 7:45 pmGood to see someone else participating in the Couch-to-5K. I just finished my third week and have lost almost 10 lbs (my next weigh in is Monday…hopefully I’ll see a few more lbs come off). The C25K is something that has helped me tremendously. Good luck with your pursuit of shedding the weight!
